The 6-inch Plate from NANKEI POTTERY (南景製陶園) is a 15cm round plate made in the Banko-yaki tradition of Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. The Matte Cream White version uses the same hakudei clay revival formula as the Cream White Sencha Kyusu series — it pairs directly and reads as a set at the table. Fired without glaze, the surface has a dry, slightly chalky matte finish. The clay does not absorb odour, and the cream tone develops a gentle warmth and subtle patina with regular use. Stackable for easy storage.
Use it as a tea cake plate, a small serving dish, or a quiet base for whatever the table needs.
